TLDR: I’m excited to officially share that my first book, The Church as Community Hub: Sharing Spaces to Help Neighborhoods Thrive, is scheduled for release this fall from Church Publishing Incorporated and is now available for pre-order.
This book grew out of years of ministry, nonprofit work, chaplaincy, podcast conversations, and a growing conviction that church buildings can become places of faithful presence throughout the week—not just on Sunday mornings.
The book explores practical and theological ideas around:
housing
childcare
food ministries
social enterprise
financial stewardship
youth and older adult ministry
and how churches can serve their neighborhoods without losing their identity as the church.
At its core, this is not a book about “saving” the church through innovation. It’s about joining the work God is already doing in our communities.
If you’d like to support the project, here are three simple ways to help:

A lot of the ideas behind this book were developed right here through ongoing writing and conversation.
