I think fairly often about the good and bad of praying (e.g., before a meal, but also when something bad happens) with friends who either aren’t Christians or aren’t Christians any longer. My parents are hardcore on evangelism and share stories of moments when they were pushed to make a hard decision (e.g., confessing a hidden sin)—and now feel deep gratitude that they were pushed (not just nudged or invited) to make a choice. Some of my religiously traumatized friends flinch at stories like that. I wish we could follow Jesus together again, andI feel a bit paralyzed sometimes.

and yes - we are sharing the Gospel when we ourselves believe and live into that belief. and it shows through us.
